Meet Stephanie
My name is Stephanie, and I’m the founder and owner of Refuge Cove Counseling, LLC. I was born and raised in Alaska—originally from Southeast and now living in Southcentral. While I’ve grown to love the mountains, the ocean will always feel like home.
I spent much of my childhood on the sea, participating in both recreational and commercial fishing with my family. Some of my most grounding moments have come from beachcombing rocky shores and exploring tide pools, which is what inspired the name Refuge Cove. Just as the ocean has offered me a place of calm and restoration, I strive to offer my clients a safe, steady refuge—a place to anchor, heal, and navigate life’s storms.
Professionally, I have a background in behavioral health, trauma recovery, crisis intervention, homelessness, and anti–sex trafficking advocacy. I’ve also worked in the areas of disability support and early intervention. These experiences, along with my personal journey through pregnancy loss and anxiety, have led me to pursue certification in perinatal mental health. My goal is to offer specialized care to individuals and families navigating infertility, pregnancy or child loss, and the often-overlooked emotional challenges of the perinatal period.

I’m honored to walk alongside my clients as they seek healing, strength, and clarity. Wherever you are in your journey, you don’t have to face it alone.
